Good hotel in Yorkshire?

Can anyone recommend a hotel in Yorkshire, preferably with a restaurant, for a romantic night for two?

Seaside - Whitby, Scarborough

West Yorkshire - Ilkley Moor, Howarth

East Yorkshire - Bridlington, Beverly

South Yorkshire

Or York City?

Ethel, I was thinking along the lines of somewhere you have stayed and been impressed with.

Wingnut, I have stayed at Appleby Manor in the Lake District before and it is superb.

Ice, the Ashfield House website looks great, I'm gonna look into it further.

Jayne, Yorkshire might well be up near Scotland for all I know, I'm afraid my Geography is as bad as yours lass!

I've been all over Yorkshire, staying in various hotels - I was trying to pinpoint where you wanted to go and what you wanted from your break.

Thanks Ethel. Don't mind whereabouts in Yorkshire, we're quite flexible and we always enjoy exploring different towns/villages/areas. Don't mind 2 or 3 hours drive. We live in East Yorkshire.

What we are hoping for is good accommodation and food. Perhaps luxury accommodation (that would be nice).

I think it's a great recommendation if other folk have been somewhere that they were impressed with.

Have you stayed in a hotel that has outshone the others Ethel? I am thinking more of the actual accommodation and food, rather than the surrounding area. Thanks for reply.
