How can anyone be so thick, not to tell the difference between a 57 year old man and a 18 year old youth?

This short fused Black thug (who was already out on bail for another crime), just dived in with his fists first.

What was wrong with just approaching the suspected person (who allegedly insulted his wife), so as to just give him a good ticking off.

It was nothing to do with queue jumping - the thug mistakenly thought the man had insulted his wife earlier.

I think this is key, because if he isn't, then as so many have pointed out on AB recently, it shouldn't matter because (I quote) "The can all kill each other off and it won't matter".

In seriousness - it's incredibly easy to kill someone if the fall and hit their head. I have straight mates at work who all seem to spend their Friday nights getting drunk and getting into fights. I've warned them that they are playing with fire - you never know when that punch might be fatal.

Question for the straight fellas here...what's up with you lot? Why are you constantly smashing each other up? Is it a testosterone thing?

87 percent of murders in the UK are committed by non-white folk. Not bad when coloureds only represent about 8 percent.

I despair at some of the things happening recently. We had an incident outside our shop a few months ago, where a young lad was punched to the ground by another youth. The lad Nathan, died after sustaining serious head injuries resulting from his head hitting the pavement. Nathan was 17 years of age and was trying to help by breaking up an argument betweent 2 other lads. The boy who punched him was 18 and from newspaper accounts was a thug, Nathan had never been in trouble and was well liked by all his friends. Regardless of the newspaper accounts, the 18 year old attacker has ruined his life for one moment of aggression.
My partner and I are wondering if people are seeing too many movies where people get punched and walk away unhurt, and think this is what will happen if they hit someone, when the reality is that it does not take much to seriously injure or kill someone.
I think that generally in this country there is a real lack of people willing to take responsibility for themselves or their own actions, leading them to think that they can behave as they please and nothing is ever their fault. I truly believe that if this carries on, we will be in real trouble in a few years, when the children of these reckless people grow up themselves and continue the same pattern. I am off my soapbox now! I will be interested to hear if anyone agrees with me or has another opinon.

Actually, you're incorrect.

Remember when Tom Ap Rhys was murdered by muggers? Well in that same week, there was an Asian fella who was murdered by white druggies who stole his van and ran him over, dragging him down the street.

Not only did the story receive very little attention from the national press, but it was also not regarded as a racist crime because race was not relevant.

Although we don't know all the facts about this case, it would appear that race isn't a factor (didn't stop the Daily Mail from pointing out the races of the victim and assailant though...weirdly).

The difference between this and the Stephen Lawrence case is that race was at the very centre of the crime. Stephen was targetted because he was black in a white area.

Similarly, the case of Kriss McDonald was rightly reported as a racist crime.

It's a really obvious difference. Surely you can see that?

I don't suppose it makes much difference, but my interpretation of the images in the Daily Mail report are that the victim's wife is black. There is a picture that gives the caption victim's wife carrying their 5 year old daughter so it is pretty obvious
The group picture I'm guessing shows the wife with a female friend or her sister, and the victims parents perhaps?

The bottom picture of 4 people state the centre one is his Wife. How can one have a centre one in a group of four?

If you point your mouse arrow over each person it says each one is "Kevin Tripp's Wife". I know, I know but let's try and shed a bit of light over a very,very, dark and sad crime.
