I am going on honeymoon to St Lucia in September and have to have to pay for the second week in dollars when we are out there - I know the pound is strong against the dollar at the moment at approx 1.8 but does anyone know if it is likely to go up or down? Would it be worth exchanging for dollars now?

P.S I see a similar question was asked a month ago when the exchange rate was nearer 1.9 - forgive me for not knowing anything about this but I assume the dollar will continue to strengthen?

No one has the slightest idea. If they did, they wouldn't be working for a living. If (say) we knew for sure that the pound would be worth two dollars next week, then it would be worth (its present discounted value would be)very nearly two dollars today.
