Have I asked you lot to read too much?-lol
I read it pasta. But cant comment. Had the same bloke for 37 years so what do I know!!
Question Author
Well, that says something-doesn't it... ;-)....are you packed and ready to descend on leggy???
Are you mad, Pastafreak? You're asking CBers to read The Independent!!!!!! CB is for Sun readers, 'News' is for Mail readers. Perhaps 'Society & Culture' has the people who read The Indie?

Oh, you wanted an answer? Actually, I'm inclined to agree. I've only ever once met someone through a 'lonely hearts' ad (which I responded to, rather than placed). I felt awkward and constrained by the English conventions relating to being 'polite'. I'm sure that if I was French or Italian I'd have handled the situation with far greater ease and confidence.

well - I'm into my 11th year of marriage to the same person...but boy - is our dungeon fun!!!! xx
Packed? Not even sorted out what clothes are going yet. And I should be ironing instead of on here.

I shall make a quiet confession. At the bottom of the ironing pile are a couple of things unironed since I returned from the last trip!

I just knew it would be too many words for some....must try harder!

I will keep your secret,rabs....shhhhh!
ROFL @ rabbity!!!! I ALWAYS have stuff like that hun, because I keep a case partly packed "for the next time"!! My husband was a b*gger for suddenly announcing that we were going off somewhere, so it made sense to have certain things already packed up, to save me the trouble when "the next time" happened!

Ice-did you get my email this morning??
That sounds romantic ice. Mr R surprises me with a sudden trip to Wickes or B & Q!
yeah what she says is true, English blokes are generally crap at expressing themselves and a large proportion of english workplaces are overrun with the typical English bloke that seem to be more worried about telling tales of the latest night out getting ****** with their mates then actually getting to know a woman and forging a decent relationship with them.

Have to say the way this country is at the moment I want out!!!
Haven't checked my emails since i got back home Pasta. I tell you - I couldn't get on the computer until a certain little person fixed the prob for me!!! I'll check when I'm done on here. xx Oh...hang on.....I sent YOU one. Do you mean in reply to that???
Yes rabbity - he IS pretty romantic - but your B & Q trips at least sound practical. xx

Lol @ Buenchico!
Question Author
No hun....I sent mine earlier.....could send again I suppose!
Ditto!! I don't care what newspaper it is. If i want to read one - i read it, with no political thing in mind.
Question Author
Lol @ chuck...if a man feels that way about this -then it must be pretty bad!
