I recently had a conversation with a colleague about this internet 'game'. I am absolutely astounded that people are paying real money for virtual belongings.

Anyone here a member of Second Life and use it regularly and really pay money for virtual things?

it's even worse ... corporates are now starting to use "virtual eventing" in 2l

I contact people all over the world - and either they come to me ... or I go to them ... now we have another option to IM ...2l (sad eh!)

I've actually run 2 courses remotely to 5 people in 5 different countries ....

odd .... and set to get odder

I heard there is a Nike shop, among others, there for you to buy your trainers from. I believe Nike have designs <i<only available in 2L too!

That makes me wonder about their shambles of a 'green' line they introduces in real life. If they were seriously going all green on us then why on earth are they encouraging people to sit at their PC, which is not good for the environment by 'opening'a shop in 2L?

Also, they are all for getting people off their backsides and spending time outside jogging or whatever (so long as we're using their product), yet encouraging us to sit infront of the screen again.

Tell me, have you bought property and a vehicle etc?
hell no

I wouldn't touch the thing if it wasn't becoming part of my job.
Everything I do in a training vein is repetitive ... it's only the people who change ... and make the job enjoyable.

if this takes off (and it will) it's another thing that erodes the spontineity of face to face.
