When I watch this on tv and see stolen cars driving like mad men to get away from the police and put drivers and pedestrians in danger.
When they are on the open road and no danger to anyone else befor they get in a built up area again I feel that they should have a shoot to kill policy to stop them in there tracks.

for once you're said something intersting and very true their isaac, joyriders do sometimes have people in car that arent aware till they are in the car that it is stolen, also once they shoot driver what happens to car, it goes and smashes uncontrolably into another car.

In this case, it would be foolish to shoot the driver, as common sense would tell you.

Every incident should be taken at its own merits.

joyriders do, you ever watched hollyoaks? When ste said he had a license etc, it can be done, you could be in a car with someone and not know them that well or have taken a lift From them, then suddenly police are trying to pull them over and it goes into a chase, the people inside not knowing that they are being driven by a joyrider.

I;m quite laid back which is why I don�t agree with killing people. And isaac that was a great example, and yes would be very silly but hey maybe they dont know childs in back, what then?

I'm sure the police have the technology to see who is in a car before they stop it from mowing down innocent pedestrians.

By the way scorp I am in no way arguing here, its just a healthy debate, some people have teken me wrong way. I am in no way defending scum as you put it, but more trying to keep others safe on a road where there is a dead person at the wheel of a now out of control car.

I know hollyoaks is fiction but it can happen I was just using that as an example. Ok another example the driver has taken some sort of drugs at a party then someone innocent asks for a lift. The police try to stop the car just for a routine check, driver panicks and starts speeding off resulting in a car chase. Is this the passengers fault?
