why does he/she bark? If you don't know why they do it, the collar won't help, if you do know why, then you may not need a collar!
I agree with woofgang. You have to find out why your dog is barking at night - is it because he doesn't like being left on his own when you go to bed, or is it because something/someone is near the house and he feels he's protecting you by letting you know? Personally, I don't like the idea of "anti bark" collars - it's a dog's natural instinct to bark. My dogs sometimes bark at night too, but only to let me know that there's a fox outside! Work out what the problem is first, before you go wasting your money on one of these collars, and try & solve the problem. Good luck. K
i saw on dog borstal once they put the barking dog in a crate for the night & every time it started up the owner had to go & spray water at it & the surprise made it stop barking. they had to persevere & keep at it for hours, but eventually the dog stopped.
well but if your dog is barking because it is going deaf or senile, or has another similar problem that WON'T help!

I bet that dog borstal had ruled out those kind of problems first because a) the dogs get vetted before being accepted and b) they only take on dogs who have problems that their approach would be appropriate for
