conifer sap

I stupidly parked my car under some conifers and I discovered some conifer sap had dripped onto the bonnet. Any ideas of how to get rid of it?

Chop it down and burn it, thats the best way of getting rid of it.  Dont know how you get the sap off of the bonnet though!

Husband and son have both  had this,  and have said this problem can be solved with a tin of  'T- Cut Restorer'  - and a final polish of Turtle Wax.
