I don't know, but it seems likely the answer is in a bottle!
sadly most folk , even on here .
care more about their pet dog than the local needy kids with holes in their shoes.

this was also shown about a year ago when i asked would you turn your kid in (any age btw 13 or 30 ) if they murdered someone else child.

the high opinionate don here said no theyd neve rturn them in.

thats the staet of the country and people .

no rules no morals.the better they are the better thwey hide their selfish side.
they think putting a quid in a collection box to save dolphins nmakes them bettervwhen really they dont give a sh1t about anyones kids but their own.selfish cvnts
sadly what i say is totally true.

folk can post about how ba dit is .
but theyd not do anythiong to help.

thats hypocritical.
if you dont like my opinion then ask yourself why??

too close to the truth eh ?

who goes and helps poor kids in your area?

do you/

but youd give to rspca save the dolphin etc etc

truth hurts

it really does

ruby you show your lack of intellect by your pathetic dig.

truly
as i sais when i asked whod turn in their kid for killing someone else slast year.
there were very few

as usual its worry about yourself

hardest to admit and even harder to change too
I see what you mean Ruby ;o).
Unfortunately we live in aworld that has changed drastically in our own lives. There is no longer any sense of community..certainly not to the extant that our parents experianced. Most-if not many of us do not know our neighbours...let alone worry about their children. We are not in and out of each others houses.....we do not watch over each others kids.........the trend is to keep to ourselves. We feel guilty for a bit when something like this happens....then we close our front doors again. No-it isn't right.......but it took a generation or two to get this way...it will take longer to change back. IF it is possible to do so.
Fortunately I live in a rural area where we do tend to keep an eye on one another. But I think that generally you are quite correct pastafreak.
Most people care about other people. Most people would report something if they for a minute thought that a child was being starved. The reality is that they aren't things you would think someone was doing. I like Boo have a skinny child, he's also an escape artist, hes also always hurting himself, I could easily be at the end of an accusation. People know me though, and know I love my children but I suppose if I went through a mental episode and did something horrendous people might still not suspect me of foul play.

I think the big issue is, since that little girl in London was murdered by her aunt a few years ago, there has been a new chain of communication. You sign forms when your kids start school or nursery to make you aware of this, if your kid gets hurt, turns up with bruises, this can be shared with your doctor and social services. Same goes for if you don't send your kids to school. I would think this poor little girl's school is going to have to answer some questions.

I have phoned social services on one occasion. I got the police involved first and they told me to phone them, they showed up that night and removed the children from her care.
goodsoulette - the little girl had been taken out of school by her mother, for home schooling.
when i heard the headline i also immediately thought that she should have been eating at school, but, heard in the full report about the above.
does anyone know if children getting educated from home are also checked by someone outside of their home??
the fact that the kids were eating the bread put out for birds makes me realise how desperatly hungry they must have been. i'm also glad that the authorities came in before the situation became even more tradgic.
