was there an old playstation 1 game that had a scratch and sniff disc that smelt of the pitch?

There certainly was, it was Fifa 2001.
Incidently one of the Gran Turismo games (1 or 2, I forget which) on the PS1 had a disc which smelled like burning rubber on tarmac.

i had a game called 'cd maker ******' and teh WHOLE disc smelt like a disc from teh game...
