One of my very favourite groups.  The Durutti Column is essentially Vini Reilly, a guitarist from Manchester.  Their records were released on Factory Records for the duration of its lifetime, and on a variety of labels since.  The music is mostly guitar-based, with various other instruments and occasional vocals as and when required.  They've released over 15 albums now, a Best Of compilation was recently released and is a good start.  This is their official website:

Thankyou. I have 'Obey the Time' and i really like it but none of my m8's have heard of The Durutti Column, i shall now enlighten them!
