Last week I heard on the news that hundreds or even thousands (can't remember the figure) of Post Offices were to be closing down in London, however they are still advertising local friendly Post Offices.

Isn't this a bit of a kick in the teeth for the staff that run the ones due to be closed down?

yes
you should try working anywhere in the chain that supplies Tesco, and then see the bogof offers on the telly
Hi tiger,
I agree its a joke.

In Newmarket 3 years ago we had 5 sub P/Os, now the only one left is closing in 2 months.
I feel sorry for the OAP and disabled who have to travel to the main one in the high st, and that is supposed to be transferring to Smiths.

That advert is taking the piddle.
good_egg,

What do you mean?
i meant that tesco really put the squeeze on its suppliers, paying less n less (i always worked on farms producing cabbage, cauli etc, n contracted to tesco) then you see them advertising thier - buy one, get one free - offers, on the product that they cant afford to pay a fair price to them what grow it! grrr . . . rant over
