We have two male donkeys aged 25  and 16 years,  the problem we have is both their back hoof seem to be quite deep and the frogs seem to have almost disappeared, they do not seem to be in pain and still let us clean them out although they do flinch when we dig a bit deep any ideas

Get the farrier to check if there is any sign of disease and also make sure that they are properly trimmed (which I'm sure you have done)

The only thing I can suggest to help with the frog is to "feed" it with something like Cornucresine (excuse the spelling).  It will also strengthen what is already there
