Thanks guys, i thought i had heard about the cola thing somewhere and the ketchup!

Ray, i hope its like this when i come cause i wanna drink your plonk in your garden with lots of sunshine! lol Baaaaa

Dris, they really need cleaning up before i give them to anyone, they are actually my little boys, the window cleaner gave them to him, he has a penny jar so i want to put them in there for him.

tigger, i remember buying some cleaner for jewellery which was great.
I know that works for limescale so may work for you too!....
Plunge the cutlery for a few minutes in a pan of boiling vinegar, make sure you open the windows though!
No idea why I got it into my mind that it was cutlery......lol!

lol max, pennies!!! Not another dumb gene moment ;-)
Hi jules. I always take mine to those machines in the foyer of Sainsburys or Asda- they take a percentage, (think it's 7%), but it's worth it if you've got plenty, and you don't need to clean them up! x
I guess copper made me think of pots and pans, hence cutlery? Mmmh....pmsl!

Even highly intelligent people like me have their weak moments, ya know! lol
Goddard's Silver Dip is great for silver rings etc x
Thanks Bathsheba. x
Hi jules , I remember when I was a child , we used to get coppers shiny using brown sauce , xxxxx
