Is there any cure for this or does it simply take time to go away? Serc seems to be having some effect, but it's just the length of time taking to clear up that's worrying.

It sounds really awful, there is a website for sufferers, hopefully it can offer some info

I take Stemetil for mine goldfish. My attacks usually ease after about 2 days so I must be one of the lucky ones! I hope yours clears up soon.
Oh wow! thankyou for this question and the website from CAZZ.....I have had bouts of BPPV for a number of years tho recently they have been so mild even non-existant. But I experianced a sudden attack on Sat...had been sitting...got up and...o.o.o.I felt peculiar...it then got worse. I hate going to bed and waking up in the morning...have developed strategies for getting up VERYslowly and gently. It is better now...still a bit 'woozy' but I know it will get better.Yours will too-good luck!
Could I ask you how long it actually took to go and did the serc work?

Sadly it's taken a full year for the symptoms to go away. The Serc just really dampens down the symptoms and I think you, in fact, simply learn to cope with the horrid symptoms.
