I need to find a song, its an older song done by a female artist. its a slow song and it starts off by saying "close the window come alive, and it will be allright.

don't know which version you've heard but those are the lyrics to 'we're all alone' which i know as a scott walker song.

It sounds like "We're All Alone" by Rita Coolidge a top 10 hit in 1977.

The song is called 'Were all alone' and it was recorded by Rita Coolidge in June 1977.  It got to number 6 in the charts.

It looks like we all posted at the same time, kitandholly is right it was first recorded by Scott Walker and was written by William "Boz" Scaggs.
