my son of 18 pushed a lad who was assaulting my other son ,he fell backwards cut his head open quite bad. charged with gbh no intent. going to crown court. no history of violence fulltime job. wot can we expect.
from a worried parent....

if your son doesnt have a record for violence, then, he probably WILL NOT be sent to JAIL........ a suspended sentence , means as u know.... he should stay , out of trouble ................. he may not even get comminity service.......... was it commited for crown court , because, he pleaded NOT GUILTY, at the first hearing ? .or did he plead GUILTY at the magistrates hearing.....but it still got transfered to CROWN COURT ? .................
is he going to CC for trial. ?

he was advised to offer a no plea at the magistrates, the solicitor informed us that the magistrates would almost certainly sentence him owing to the nature of the head wound.
