Hi all! I have a quick question...I just received a fantastic micro stereo system that I bought on Ebay. Thing is, I paid peanuts for it, because the poor guy forgot to put a reserve price on it (ie: worth 200, paid 15 for it!!!). It's absolutely fan-bloody-tastic, and in new condition. However, he didn't send the remote...I feel a bit cheeky asking for it, considering what I paid for it, and the guy was honest enough to send it anyway! What would you do???

Well, I just sent him an email, saying the remote wasn't in the box...Of course I'll pay for postage....I still feel bad though!
I had a look online and a replacement remote would cost exactly what I paid for the machine!!!

I'm listening to it now, and the floor is shaking!!! lol
I bought some magazines on ebay, for about #8 including postage. He sent it first class, for #5.50. This made him about #2 , for #29 worth of magazines. I told him this was unacceptable and offered more money. There's cheap and there's unfair, this was unfair.
honesty IS the best policy as my dad used to say
have you ever been on fatfingers max?

Is that the site where they give you all the mis-spelt items?
yep its there own fault they've spelt it wrong

I feel bad for the guy though, because it was his first sale on Ebay and he wasn't sure how it all worked...:O(

Although, I have to admit if I was selling something that expensive, I'd make bloody sure I got everything right..Mmmh...
poor bloke!!!!
Oh well buy the remote off him then
You have to feel sorry for the guy, we all make **** ups now and again! I bet he's kicking himself.
Still, he will be loads more careful next time. Well done on your bargain buy max!

I sent him another message to say I'd pay for postage. If he replies to send the remote, I'll put a little "extra" on his paypal account...:O)

Oh, and he also left 2 CD's inside the player too!
Duh!
ask for it ,the system should come with remote,
after all it's not your fault that no one bid against you ,wich would of course, have put the price up,
I once sold 500.00 worth of land rover tyres, for 85.00 cos I was so confident more people would be wanting them.
my mistake.

I know Logic, it's how Ebay works after all...
but I can't help to feel sorry for him, especially because he was so honest sending it anyway! So many would have just found a way not to send it refunded my money.
Honesty's a wonderful quality. :O)

Although now I'm a bit ******** because lots of functions can only be accessed by remote! lol
Did it say that the remote was included? - if not, maybe that's why he was selling it and that's why there were no other bidders.
Question Author
Yes, it did say in the title that it was included, annie.
the saying you learn something new every day is so true i bet he wont make a muck up on his second sale like that lol

congrats..i do love a bargain.
Question Author
I have to say, even without the remote it's still a bloody bargain! The remote itself cost 15, so even if I have to buy that separately, I'll still be happy...But hey, if you don't ask, you don't get!
