I've had a few dreams where when i've tried standing up or walking in my dreams I cant keep control of myself and keep falling over... is it likely this is related to how Im feeling in real life?

Some say dreams are your subconscious mind trying to tell you something.

Your dream could mean that you feel you have lost direction in your life. You keep falling over, which suggest you get up again, so maybe you feel no matter how hard you persevere, you can't pick yourself up permanantly. Maybe your dream is telling you, you need to consider a new path or direction.

Then again, maybe I'm just talking twadle.

no that makes sense... my life has no direction at the moment, i've just resigned and im in love with someone I cant be with... I'm going to college to do something I dont want to do and my life consists of drinking and sleeping... maybe I need to try something new :)
Yes, sounds like you need to cast aside anything that is holding you back from happiness and think about things you can do which you will enjoy and bring you contentment.
Interesting..I keep dreaming that I'm going away somewhere, and realise I haven't got half the things I need (passport, clothes...) but it's too late to get them, so I start to panic, and it ends up in an argument with my mum - of all people!!! lol
Max, Going away could mean your desire to escape or run away from something, but things are holding you back, or you are making excuses for not moving on, hence not having passport each time and not feeling prepared.

Arguing with your mother, well perhaps you are close to her and if you wanted to move further a field, would you feel guilty about leaving her behind?
I have already left her behind, as I live in Northern Ireland and she in France...Mmmmh
Do you feel guilty that you are far from her?

Or maybe if you travel alot, just anxiety, fear of forgetting passport or losing luggage.

I've had those dreams. I've also had lots of dreams that i'm pregnant. Alot of weird things happen in my dream and they're all related to my life its weird.
i think you can sometimes look too deeply into dreams. at the end of the day, we dont know if this dream means anything at all. and although no ones said it, it could just as possibly not mean anything at all!

personally, i fail to see how being unable to control yourself whenever you try and stand up or walk, relates to looking for a "new direction in life"

could it be there is something that you lack control over, but in wanting to control it, you keep going back to it, you keep trying to stand up, something always knocks you down, but you dont stop, you want to control it your way, and you wont stop until you have done.

dreams are strange huh? - i dont know how much i believe they are subconscious messages sent by your mind...although theres a part of me that does believe it to some extent, through experience of my own dreams! lol
Our minds are like sponges. Everything we do is registered for future use/recollection when our thoughts, desires and challenges demand it. Sometimes they are logged as real-time memories (names, faces, places, dates etc) and sometimes they are logged as subconscious memories (experiences, feelings, panic etc)

Often they are recollections of conversations or experiences that are logged and recorded within your subconscious (but not really registered consciously) and are then opened and reviewed intentionally or unintentionally in a trance like state such as asleep or deeply relaxed. Similarly - this is how hypnotherapy is meant to work, by opening up seemingly 'lost' or fogotten about memories.

Perhaps you were drunk and out of control at some time, and your sub-c registered the experience as not such a good one, whereas in reality you probably laughed about it the next day. Likewise you might have had a conversation about babies or pregnancy at some point which again, has lodged itself into your memory banks for sleep-state recollection in an altered state. In reality you will have no proper reminder of those events, since they have been stored in a different data bank until now.

what? EVERYTHING? id like to believe that...but i struggle to...could you back that up with something....
