I just cleaned out my hamster and the food bag was absolutely crawling with little black crawling things, which I'm pretty sure are weevils. Anyway, I'm not sure if there were any in my hamsters food in her cage but if there were do you know if they'll harm her? I'm quite worried so any answers would be great:)

It sounds like it is weevils and most likely they came from the food...I would suggest to throw out the food, clean the cage( no pine cleaner or bleach) and throw out the used litter...If you open a new bag/box of food, just stare at it and see if you notice any bugs before you put it into the food bowl...The weevils should not hurt your hamster but they do need to be gotten taken care of. Oh, and do not use cedar chips for the litter as most hamsters develop breathing issues when that type is used..Hope this helps!
