You may have Sciatica. Go to the Doctor please.
As mentioned, get to the docs. They can prescribe diazepam.

Susie - every case is different & you must consult your own GP.

I tried all sorts of treatment: strong pain-killers, acupuncture, physio,etc., but the only thing that eased the excruiating pain from a trapped nerve in my neck, was a Steroid injection. This was carried out by a qualified Consultant at a hospital.

let it go......

Chiropractors. I've had it and they sorted it out after a few visits. I now go regularly and I feel fantastic. It's quite expensive but the benefits are more than great.

:(  Ouch!  I had one of hose in my right upper arm and they HURT!

Try going to a physical theripast.  They can show you different ways to stretch and massage the muscle and nerve.  When they do stretch and massage it hurts like nothing I have ever felt before (and hope never to again) but it feels SOOOOOO much better afterwards!
