Of course not. Expecting them to arrive on time would be improvident.

Mine was 4 hours late. No notice or apology.
Maybe his Sat Nav is on the blink?
I don't know, but our Virgin man turned up on time - they said between 8:30 and 12, and he was there at 8:30. Maybe you could swap to Virgin Media, you wouldn't get any decent channels but your engineer would turn up on time :-)

he turned up eventually, feel cheated as it was a sub-contractor, I wanted one of the simpsons vans to turn up
Sorry to spoil the 100% record with you guys but i've just had Sky install a HD box for me. He phoned me at 8.30 to advise he would be arriving within the hour...and he did. Minimum fuss and a very knowledgeable engineer made for a pleasant experience(and he turned up in a proper van!). I also signed up for Sky talk and got my BT installation charge back, got a free wireless router for my broadband, all for an extra 5. And I saved 50 on my box for taking out Talk and surf. And I got 50 worth of M&S vouchers. Being ex Virgin Media, I do feel Sky has the upper hand, especially when it comes to HD.
