visa for thai wife to holiday in spain...

i have my thai wife living in uk with me under a eea family permit visa.....we want to go holiday in gran canaria in may.....does anyone know if she needs visa or not? how much it costs? how long it takes to process? any help much appreciated...thanks

Your wife requires a Schengen visa. The fee is normally �42 but there's no charge for the spouse of an EU citizen (provided that the relevant documents are provided at the time of application). The website of the Spanish consulate doesn't indicate how long the process takes but, as long as the application is made soon, I'd doubt that you'd have any problems travelling in May.
