I have this childhood memory of me eating beans on toast and watching a programme or film (early 70's) where all the electric appliances went out of control and everybody went berserk, except for this girl. Then i think she joined a group of wondering Pakistanis, something like that. Anyone know what it was and how it ended? And why didn't the girl go nutters like everybody else?

'Changes' ?

It was the pylons... beware.

Seem to remember that whilst everyone else was smashing up cars, tellys, toasters and the like, the mnain character ended up in a cave "talking" to a large gravestone-type-thing.

Even scarier than Dr. Who at the time, I kid you not.

(Incidentally, anyone remember the series 'Out Of Bounds' about the gymnastic girl story-thing - had Kraftwerk as the theme tune as I remember.....broadcast not much later than the above)

Sorry, but in addition, is this what you mean....

That's the one Trilobite, thanx a lot. Link worked and was very useful, it also reminded me that i had read  'The Devil's Children' as a kid . Actually i do remember it being scary too.
