i once saw a programme and in it, it said that it is possible to walk through if you were to keep pushing 4 eternity because of quantum mechanics. is this true?

Were you wathing 'The Elegant Universe' on C4 last year? Although the physics are complicated I would suggest you read the book of the same name by Brian Greene. He writes very clearly and with no equations for non-maths people. Highly recommended.

I would quote you the relevant passage which answers 'yes' to your question, but I lent my copy to someone!

 

 

P.S. I think it may have something to do with 'Quantum tunnelling'. We have a real example in electronic devices called tunnel diodes. Electrons start on one side of a barrier and appear on the other where the barrier is thinner than the predicted uncertainty ( see Heisenbergs Principle) in the position of the electrons.

maybe, if its box is on wheels!
