Whats the longest anyone has been single before meeting someone else?

I have been single for 5 years now following a 5 year relationship and I still love every minute of it. Im like China Doll, I enjoy my own company, have my friends around me (oh and my dog!) and generally do what I want to do when I want to do it with nobody to answer to, no heartache, no arguments etc. Dont get me wrong, I love the idea of a big wedding and settling down but definately not yet, im 28 and im not in any rush.

I split up with my son's father when he was two and a half and was single for nine years (although I did have a few "things" in between). I decided I was so happy on my own that it would take someone pretty damn special to make me give up being on my own. Although I love my hubbie to bits (been married two and half years) there are still times when I really miss being single. I would advise you to really enjoy being single, and do not settle for anything less than the absolute best when someone comes along. They have to be so worthy of your time and effort, cos that is what relationships are - a lot of time and effort to maintain!

4-5 years but the way i see it is if you wait then ull find a girl u really like GO FOR IT!!
