I'm sure it applies to most people. It's getting on for 20 years since I was a secondary school teacher but I'm frequently told that it's obvious that I've been a teacher. (That's sometimes a compliment about the way I can quickly take command of asituation and organise things. Most of the time, however, it simply means I'm a right bossy so-and-so!).
I hadnt said anything to you Drisgirl ;-)...Was referring to tonyted's post at the beginning of this thread, where "he" asked if the quote was "derogatory"? Don't understand that reaction to a genuine question?
Well, I read Tonyted's response as one of the most 'intellectually sound' replies I've ever seen on CB and certainly worthy of more than one star - but at least that's one more than my reply got ;-)
I'm confused reading this back? Are tonyted and drisgirl the same person? I hadnt been talking to drisgirl, but, she seems to be answering? Maybe I'm on too late lol
wow thats a first - someone wondering if I am someone else -lol
No rickee i'm not tonyted -I answered in that way as I didnt want to be seen as replying to anyone other than the poster-since there was a wee niggle going on.TC xx
Some people are some aren't, I grew up in a slum, but strived to get out. luckily I did, if I had stayed where I was I would have led a life of crime, this is not fiction this is fact, I was drifting that way and was on the verge of doing what I thought I needed to do, to escape the crap hole i lived in, luckily I met my wife and found another way, hard work, most of my friends stayed in the dump and ended up Dead, drunkards, or in prison, I was lucky.
