Good news or doesn't it make any difference what time they present the news?

I for one made my mind up not to watch it, after the "over the top" re-launch of "The News at Ten."

I could not see what all the fuss was about either. I have never been able to understand all the fawning over Trevor Macdonald. He is just another mediocre newsreader as far as I am concerned. Whatever did he do to merit a knighthood? How come he got one and Brucie is still waiting for his? By the way I think the best newsraeder ever was Reggie Bosanquet. What do fellow ABers think?
Sorry but I wouldn't give any of these so-called celebs a knighthood .... Brucie included. They are all receiving fantastic monetary rewards for doing a "job". None of the newsreaders seem able to do the job alone and have at least one partner assisting. I would rather award a knighthood, if there must be such a thing, to my dustman or milkman, etc.
Well said.
I agree about the mega-hype over Sir Trev, if a listed building could talk, that is what it would sound like.

He should never have been un-retired - and the dropping viewing figures prove it.
I too made a pledge not to watch it. The ads with the drumming and bongs were so bad.
I see the local news uses the drum beats too, which are so loud, you can't hear the headlines.
ITN. News for people who don't like news.
Can only agree with what others have said about Trevor McDonald. Just the fact he was presenting it was enough to put me off ever being tempted to watch it!

andy-hughes - you're so right about him....very funny!
