Well he just seems to have slept all day and not wanted to go out , they seemed a good colour but he was holding his tounge down as though it was stuck , i dont know if this was just because i was holdinghis mouth open
Thanks
If you think it is an emergency and you can't afford the bill in a oner, phone and speak to the vet, expalin the situation, they will usually let you pay in installments.
also pdsa do cheap treatment if you are on benefit.
Where do you live? Have you tried looking up emergency 24 hour vets in your area on the net.
Question Author
I could try the PDSA as i do recieve benefits. and i live in Leeds
I would do it straight away Christy. Let us know how kitty gets on. x
Ah , good , pleased to see you on this thread tigger :-)
Oh bless - don't wait any longer christy. I'm sure the PDSA have an emergency out of hour's service, and if not, most vets'd let you pay for any treatment in installments. I really hope your cat'll be OK though. x
Hi BM, I just hate it when I know that an animal is suffering. Poor little thing :-(

I have rung my friend who is a vet and she says that i should wait till morning and see if he brings anything up and definatly ring my local vet tomorow and get a appoitment so iwll psot tomorow and tell you how he is
Thanks
The RSPCA will help you if you are on benefits as well. I would treat it as an emergency. If your cat is not able to drink then by Monday it will be so dehydrated and stressed..............
I know tigger , I felt helpless as I don't have a cat .I know how it would be to have a sick pet though , it's a worry .
The PDSA Peoples Dispensary for sick animals will often pay vets bills or ring the rspca
my cat (not that long ago) was having bother breathing and was coughing an awful lot, as if tryin to be sick but couldnt. i took her to the vets and they checked her for lung worm and gave her antibiotics. a few days later durin one of her coughin fits, i thought it was a worm comin down her nose, but here it was a long blade of grass, after i carefuly helped to get it out, she was fine a day or 2 after, has your cat maybe been eatin grass?
Question Author
Hello just come from the vet and heard he probably has Laryngitis , he was given some antibiotics and should clear up , if not he has to go back and they will look down his throat. So nothing too much to worry about .and he behavd at the vet :) xx
Good news Christy ! I did giggle though at the thought of your cat *behaving*..... does that mean the vet still has all his/her own fingers and not too many scrams and scratches....
Question Author
Haha
:)
No no he usually just gets a bit moody when he is sat in his box surrounded by yapping terriers , so i thought he would be nasty with the vet , but fine apart from a little struggle trying to get him out the box xx
