Does it depend on if you know them or if they're someone new?
Do you shake their hand, kiss them on the cheek, give them a hug or just wave and say hi?

Depends on who it is ;o)
It does depend on if you know them and the circumstances. I generally introduce myself and offer my hand (not to be kissed but for a handshake LOL). I meet a lot of people, if its mates I generally just nod and say hi, but quite often have a kiss on the cheek, and a hug when saying goodbye.

Hxx
well i agree with Gill, definitely depends on who it is. Mind you, im mostly a huggy person. Twice now i have met friends from the ab and i have hugged them when we first met!
I hate shaking hands with someone cause i always feel thats a man thing to do, . If i was just meeting someone who i didnt know so well, i would do nothing other than say hello.
In business by a shake of a hand.
In friendship (ie. being introduced to a friend of a friend) by the shake of a hand also)
With someone foreign, by a kiss on either side of the cheek unless it is in connection with profession and then it would be by a hand shake.
a Police Officer - with a punch (lol only joking).

Yeah depends on the situ -in Spain always double cheeker -its just bog standard there.

Pals -usually a cuddle if I havent seen them for a while.

Random -like in Tescos or something -cheery wave and hi.

I am a very tactile person and I know its not everyones cup of tea -but I cant help myself -lol
handshake and a welcoming grin from my ugly mug lol
