Only 4 of the actors in woodentop were ever in the bill.
the bill was commissioned as an 11 episode series.

woodentop was a derogetory term used by non uniformed officers in the metropolitan police towards uniformed constables.
if youve been watching life on mars or ashes to ashes youll have heard it a lot.

was long before the bill that it was used.
