The lock has stopped working on the drivers door of my mk3 golf, the key turns but the doors don't lock/unlock, works ok from the passenger door though, what's happened!?

The end has snapped off the barrel, quite an easy job you can buy a kit from VW. And you dont have to take the door panel off
