Interview today!

Hello all I have an interview today and I know they are keen on asking questions about the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and also Northern Rock. Could anybody please explain the outline of all three topics to me please! I have research but am looking for simple ways to explain things

I don't want to sound like a voice of doom, but isn't it a bit late to be trying to find out about these things? How do you know that they want to ask you questions about these major current events? Does it have a bearing on the role - in which case it wouldn't seem to suitable for you...

I find the best way is that if you've read enough, it's better to wait and see what their questions are so you don't have a preplanned answer.

I have to agree with Supernick. How long ago were you aware of the interview taking place? I would imagine at least 2 or 3 days, yet you leave it to the last minute.

Iraq. America attacked because they wanted the oil and because Bush wanted to do better than his father who had left the region without killing Saddam Hussein. He got him. Blair joined in this war without a cause because he was besotted with Bush following their outing post 9/11. The country is now in a mess with nobody in control and we are still there but should have gone home a long time ago. Afghanistan - we are there as well because we were freeing them from the Taliban - and to show you are up with the news, Prince Harry is there too. Northern Rock is a building society that collapsed but is now going to be rescued by the government.

Just noticed that the interview was yesterday! Hayley how did it go? Did they ask questions on these subjects. And we all want to know - what is the job?
