In the UK they can probably walk to their machine, In the US and Canada they are given notice hours ahead and are sitting there waiting to plow.

the ones their dear old moms made for them when they were kids in school.
if the snow gets too deep, they sleep in a wigwam they share with a weasle !

Do you thing they have snow plough drivers in Australia? Imagine that guy, studies for years to get his snow plough driving diploma, and bang! The wife wants to relocate to Australia. Poor guy....I think we speak enough of the plight of the unemployed snow plough driver!!!
I think I might start a petition.

Stewey is right. I'm sure the sanitation workers here in NYC racked up hefty overtime today. Our Mayor said they have been on 12 hour shifts since yesterday preparing.

Hi, ET. We got about 2 inches from the northern edge of the storm you we having, and then around noon hour the sun came out and it was almost warm!

We ended up with about 7 or 8 inches. Now have sleet/freezing rain. Still waiting on the WeatherHazard Machine Operator to visit my street. (It will never happen)
