right. i have been having problems with slow down, freezing screens and crashing when surfing the internet etc.

i have checked for viruses with avast and have uncovered nothing.

i have run defrag/registry cleaners and all that but still hasnt made any difference.

i currently have tune up utilities 07 and went to system advisor where it is telling me that too much memory is being allocated to the IE cache that is used to temporarily store websites so they can be viewed faster next time and that the amount allocated should only be 150mb in size..

how do i change this?

i have been into internet properties but cannot see what to change?

it also says the PROCESS IE is also using an abnormally high amount of memory..

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi radek135

Here are some possible paths for you to take.
In Internet properties go to -
General tab -
Browsing history - press - Settings button.
Where it says - disk space to use - change this to 250(MB) or lower.
History - days keep page - change as you require.
Next - house keeping.
Start button - programs - accessories - system tools - Disk cleanup - run this weekly.
Try downloading firefox for your Internet browsing.
Your running processes are accessed by pressing -
Ctrl - Alt - del. Here under the processes tab you can see Memory usage - There is a end process button allowing you to close highlighted programs -careful here as closing e.g. explorer.exe (or other important processes) will loose you control of pc. Internet explorer is listed as iexplorer and can be closed from here.

Hope this helps.
