I am going to Florida on 21st Feb, 10 days away and still haven't received tickets yet. Should I be worried? We are flying with Virgin and I am sure on other holidays I've been on the tickets arrived 2-3 weeks before the travel date

I`m sure they will come this week but I would give their customer services dept a ring if you booked it yourself or a travel agent to follow it up if they did it for you.Normally do get them 2-3 weeks ahead I agree in my experience with them. They are a very good airline IMO if you haven`t flown with them before.Have a great time in Florida .We went in August and it was just too humid -wrong time of year to go!!

thanks, I have never flown with Virgin before but heard good reports. Just hope it is going to be warm enough in Feb, should hopefully be in 70's or even 80's if we are lucky!
are you sure you dont have e tickets?
As bednobs has said, if you booked on line you sometimes get E- tickets in the form of an email that you just print off and take with you. It would surely make more sense to ask this question of the people you have booked with rather than asking us.

well excuse me! I have not booked on line, I booked through a travel agent and since it is Sunday I have emailed them and will not get a response until tomorrow so seen as this is a question and answer site thought I would ask if other people had had tickets arrive so close to their travel date. I do apologise for asking the question JK2 if you do not have an answer then why bother commenting?
calm down tigwig. they will arrive and your details will be on their system any hoo...just produce your passport and check in..have a great time (breathe, breathe, breathe...)
I did not intend to upset you tigwig. It just seemed to me that we can only make guesses as to whether you should have had your tickets or if you should be worried - we can't possibly know. Only the people you booked with can tell you why you haven't had them yet.
On a Virgin holiday a couple of years ago our tickets arrived the day before our holiday. Virgin didn't seem worried that we didn't have the tickets and said that we'd have no problem flying as we'd be on their computer and the hotels would phone Virgin to confirm if we didn't have the hotel vouchers.

However if all you've got from Virgin is flights you should check any confirmation e-mail very carefully to check that you haven't got e-tickets - it can be buried in the body of the ticket.
I went to Orlando with Virgin last Easter, and like you, my tickets only arrived the week before we were due to go.

It seems Virgin don't send them out too early, but as others have said, if you have your reservation details the worst that could happen is they'll sort it for you at the airport and issue duplicates.
