Don't trouble to go with Tiscali. They have just cut me off for three days and their phone lines are VERY busy indicating that I am not the only one. They have not offered me any reason for the cut-off.This is not the first time this has happened.
I am now considering going with The Post Office, we used to have the telephone with them and they were OK.
hi i was on tiscali had a lot of trouble now with aol my friend is on tiscali and last week had no connection for 7 days.on one day it took over i hour before she could speak to someone. in all she spent a few hours on the phone trying to speak to someone and all they had to say was they cannot refund phone calls
We use Talk talk. I know others have had problems with them but we've found them very helpful.
Try phoning BT and ask them if they can improve your deal. I have just done this with Virginmedia as my neighbour was on a cheaper rate than me they have reduced by bill by 12 per month and even refunded the month I have just paid in advance The worst they can say is no and then you tell them you are going elsewhere
Masterchef - don't do it! Google for "post office broadband" and see how much misery and frustration they're causing. And I know from trying to help a friend who signed up that it just ain't possible to contact their 'helpline'.

Tiscali are currently getting a bad press too!

As usual, it's the heavily advertised ones that cause the most grief.
I've been with Tiscali - no trouble at all.

I find Tiscali excellent.

Been with them for years.
I'm with Tiscali too and have been happy for the past 2 years or so....

One thing I would be wary of is their MAX package. On this you get up to 8meg, but what they don't tell you is that customers on the MAX package get whatever bandwidth is left after everone else has had theirs. At 2.00am it is very fast, but in the evening it is much slower than their standard package. But you can easily switch between them, so if it doesn't work for you, you can get back on to the standard package.
