Qs113&114 are picture questions, the answers are names of state capitals of the usa and  could be the first, middle or last name of a former very sucessful british lawn tennis player and a former north american politician and statesman.

Q46 What collective word, derived from greek meaning 'successors' is applied to the group of macedonian generals who fought each other for control of the empire built by alexander the great after his death?

Q53 This gives the names of three fictional currencies which appear in the harry potter books.  What is the name of the bank which issues these currencies?

Q57 The so-called bedford flag, oldest complete american flag known to exist in the usa is housed in an american town named after the bedfordshire england county town. In which state of usa is this town?

Q57

Hey Marje - you can't be asking for help already!!  The bank is Gringotts,  Q113 is Bunny Austin - Texas (I think, not confirmed with rest of team yet!) and haven't got the other answers yet.  How well do you usually do?
Question 114. Pierre Trudeau, Pierre is the Capitol of North Dakota Question 57.Massachusetts
Question46.=Diadochi Question119.This may be a catch, because Kit Carson,s full name is Christopher Houston Carson.and Carson is not a state capital, whereas Carson City is.just a thought.also the Bedford Flag is the wrong way round.

HI ESSJAY, I usually get between 144 and 148, not very good I know, but I tend to misread the questions sometimes so don't get it right.  I'll have to take it slower to make sure.  It's sometimes very difficult to get an answer, it depends what question you enter.  It's so frustrating trying different ways of asking the same question and coming up with nothing that makes any sense.

I'll keep trying nevertheless.

Thanks to you all.  Your answers are much appreciated.

Hi Marje - I know it's just a quiz, a bit of fun, but don't you just hate it when you choose the wrong answer and then you read the explanation of why you were wrong!!  Good luck this  month!  PS Daithebus may have a point about Kit Carson - worth investigating!

the successful grass tennis player and US state could be Virginia (Wade). The currencies in the HP books are Galleons (gold), Sickles (silver) and Knuts (bronze) and the bank is Gringotts
Just checked Houston.  It's in Texas, but it's not the capital.  Will stick with Carson for 119 and Austin for 113.

daithebus, you're a star, thanks very much for your answers.

lbg_13, the tennis player was a man but seeing as how you didn't have the pictures, you weren't to know, the other answer you gave me was right.   Thanks.

I've got all the answers now. If I can help anyone please get in touch.

No doubt I'll be back next month wanting more help!

Once again, many thanks.
