Do you enjoy weddings are do you think they are a waste of money I have noticed lately via tv newspapers etc that a lot of couples who have been together for a long time want to get married at great expense views !

Friend A got married recently and me Friend B reckoned it cost Friend B and her hubby nearly �1000 to attend all the events around Friend A's wedding:

Hen night - �200
Stag Night - �300
Hotel for 2 nights for wedding itself as it was a 4 hour drive away - �150
New suit for him - �150
New dress for her - �100
Gift - �50

I'm single but it still cost me a fortune too. Friend A's attitude was those that don't like it don't come! But she's one of our oldest friends so this wasn't an option. Annoying for everyone else though.
