I've just bought a new stereo. I can get all the BBC radio stations but not the local stations. The signal is generally week in my area, this includes the TV.

What can I do to improve the FM signal?

Thanks

Fit an FM radio aerial in the loft. Does your stereo system have a dangly piece of wire which fits into the antenna socket? This is the aerial.

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me.

Yes, there is a white "dangly" aerial. This is fitted into the sterio. I've tried moving it around etc. but I still can not get the local London stations.

You suggested fitting a FM aerial in the loft - if I do this do I have to run a cable from the loft to the lounge?

Sorry to be so fick!

Unfortunately yes! You could try a longer bit of wire and run it in an inverted "L" shape up the wall and along the ceiling, if it's not too intrusive.
also see if the tv ariel improves things
it might not ... but worth trying
if it does .... get a T splitter
