But this came out when I was about9 - and I was hooked on it! I even got the book of the series for christmas that year. I have never even thought of it in twenty years! thanks for reminding me - my favourite was the one with the moustache -was it "Tatum"? I idolised him. Sorry I couldn't help with naming the theme tune, but thanks for posting.

Yes it was Tatum, and Bone was the former butcher

Just another piece of trivia. The training Platoon Sgt(little fella with the tache) died a year or two later in a firefight in Northern Ireland, apparently.
