This is going to sound mad but it worked for me...... You need to get someone to buy it off you....I know it sounds weird?!? I used to have a wart on my left hand for approximately 6 years until a good friend of mine said "I can get rid of that for you" and he gave me a pound coin. Within 2 weeks it had completely gone!! And I made a pound out of it :)
Please don't think I'm a wierdo but my son had many warts on his hands & was having hospital treatment for 2 years but nothing worked. An old country chap told my husband to find a big black slug and rub it over the warts & then pierce it on a Hawthorn or Blackthorn bush & the warts would disapear as the slug withered. I know it sounds mad but in desperation he tried it & 3 days later (to my amazement) the things had gone without trace, not even a scar or mark where they had been. The skin specialist poo pood it but hey, who cares, IT WORKED. Another remedy less yucky is to rub the wart with the inner skin of a broadbean pod & bury the pod in the garden. Nothing to lose trying, although the medics insist it is a virus that will eventually go of its own accord. Good luck.
Soak the affected part of your body in salt water for about half an hour a day. I mean REALLY salty water. Did the trick for me when I had warts.

My boyfriend also suggests banana peel - a piece of it stuck on there with, for instance, a bandaid, every day for a week or so.

I've heard of all these remdies before, many of which, like the fruit peels rely on a mild acid eroding the wart. This is similar to some of the topical treatments your GP may prescribe, but it will only shrik the wart, rather than actually remove it. I recently got rid of a really old stubborn wart from the side of my thumb with Wartner. You can get it in the pharmacy and it freezes the root of the wart. The effect was not quite as quick as it said on the pack, but it was absolutely painless and a lot less hassle than stickers and plasters etc. It costs about 13, but it did the job for me.
I've seen selling them work on a number of occaisions... mad as it is!
someone I know says that eventually, the virus which causes the wart will leave your system hence it is better to do nothing about it.
TO GET RID OF A WART, U SHUD FART ON IT.
