My speakers work fine on my PC when I'm listening to music on media player yet when I try to watch a video on you tube or try to listen to anything from an internet page it doesn't work. can anyone help me? thank you.

There is a volume control at the bottom of a Youtube video.

Maybe that is set low or off ?

Have you checked the sound properties to make sure the wave volume control isn't muted or turned down. Go to Control Panel / Sounds and audio devices / then click advanced on the volume tab. Also check that your sound card is set as the playback device under the Audio tab.
