What am I doing wrong?

In the last 8 months I have been eating 4-6 portions of fruit and veg a day, eating more fish, seeds and nuts, drinking lots more water, cutting down to only 2 cups of coffee a day, near enough stop smoking after 12 years, changed all my white bread and pasta to wholemeal, I've cut down on take aways and alcohol and am trying to get to bed early although can never get to sleep easily and recently I have started to reguarly exercise which you would think by now I would feel the best that I've ever felt, but I feel worse than ever.

My skin is spotty, my eyes sunken, skin pale, I feel tired and generally look as if I'm on drugs and am always bloated with painful trapped wind???? Where is my glowing skin, shiny hair, white eyes, strong immune system?

I really do not understand what I am doing wrong?? Can anybody out there help?

This may be totally wrong or irrelevant but there we go!

I have found that when I've cut done on drinking and been eating better (trying to!) my skin has got really bad and my hair very very greasy very quickly, and I though it was to do with all the bad stuff in my system coming out through my skin! I dont know if this is true or not and maybe not for 8 months but thought Id reply :)

sorry Sandy but I can offer no explanation, but do sympathise as this must be really disheartening. What else can you do? You are doing everything 'they' tell you, just makes you wonder how sound this advice is, perhaps its possible to overdo it, I dont really know. If its of any consolation I have been doing roughly the same as you (perhaps not quite so consciencously) for the last 7 months since finding myself pregnant and in the beginning my skin and hair were brilliant but alas no more. I can only put the initial vibrance down to pregnancy hormones.

I do hope someone can give you an explanation as I would be interested to know too.

Sandy, Keep it up, You will see the benefits of it , Make sure you are not missing out on anything at all, I drink loads of water now days , it regenerates the skin , And it does no one any arm to have something you really fancy once a week , make it your reward for good behaviour , I too am not blessed with clear eyes and I always home in on the bits I am not happy with when I look in the mirror, the best compliment is from someone who hasn't seen you in a while , best of luck !

A chinese lady has told me a lot about our body function and what type of food should we eat as it can affect not only our inside to the outside if i may use this expression.

Our body well being? If the soul and mind is not well then how our body on the inside can function at full potential?

But on this point a round of applause to you for trying to change your life for the better and continue your hard work!
Cos at the moment, your body is getting rid of the bad thing that you had in you and it can take a long time.
Skin problem? Have a good detox. proper pamper, a treat to the salon and have a corro that may help.
Or exfoliates your skin reguraly, remember it takes one month for the skin to improve.
Wind, bloated feeling? is it stress related?
Try first thing when you get up, a large glass of warmish steralized water with a good zest of lemon and drink slowly!
then have your normal breakfast and do not go to work without eating.
Remember your body is warm on the inside avoid giving cold water cos your digestive system do not like that nether!
Drink during the day, but change that water temperature!

But i am no GP,and if you are worry ask for his advice x
hi sandy, sounds like you maybe slightly anemic, if you are experiencing heartburn bloating flatulence then there is every chance that you have an intolerance to a food type ie dairy, wheat/gluten.your metabolism will have abearing also upon this in as much as your bodys ability to rid of toxins, skinbrushing pref morning,will help as will brisk 20 min walk daily,sauna steam room twice a week ,keep well hydrated,the condition of your tounge is also a good indicator as to whats happening,white coating at back too much damp in body,crack down centre weak digestive system, teeth marks on sides anemia sore tip zinc defecient,failing this see good nutrionilist

Thank you everyone, I shall take everyones advice and grit my teeth and continue on with my healthier lifestyle and I'm sure that I shall see the improvements soon.
