Yesterday (3rd Nov), we received our very first Christmas card of the year. When do you send your Christmas cards?

One week before Christmas.  And the tree and decorations go up on Christmas Eve.
early - mid Decemeber, like around the 10-15th. But I send less and less now.
Thankyou Fakeplastic! At last I've found someone who doesn't think Christmas lasts for three months!
12th April, between 2:48pm and 2:53pm (except if it's a Thursday, in which case I wait until 4:30pm)
I always thought the point of xmas cards was to wish seasons greetings to people you wouldn't actually see over the christmas period,.  I don't see the point of wishing people "happy christmas" 2 months beforehand and so, like fakeplastic, send my cards out the week before xmas, and only to people I'm not going to see on the day.  Mass-mailing seems an incredible waste of time, paper and money considering they all end up in the bucket a few days later.
I'm also a 'week before' person. My mum used to refuse to put the tree up til the 22nd or 23rd, and when we were kids we used to pester her to do it sooner, but now I think she was right.
mid december for cards, first week of december for decs because I can't wait...also we have various get togethers during december and its nice to have the decs up
Xmas cards usually 1st couple of weeks of December. Tree goes up as close to 1st Decemeber as possible. If I had my way I'd have Xmas 365 days of the year but my wife won't let me!
I don't send them. Decided a few years ago there was way too much hype with Christmas so I have ignored the whole business since then.

woofgang - I love Christmas too, especally with the next generation around us. I love to see their little faces when they walk in & see the tree twinkling in the bay.

I usually send cards out around the 18th Dec.The tree & dec's go up around the 18th too. I must admit, I would much rather give the card & stamp money to a charity, but each year we get so many that it would seem a bit mean not to reply.

I'm with camille79 on this one.  I use to send out hundreds of C.Cards each year - even to my next door neighbours - then I went out with a scandinavian.  They only send cards to those that they don't see over the season.  Have a valid reason now wothout seeming tight!
I usually get them out about 2 weeks before, but time and money restraints lead to less and less being sent. It's also nice that the whole russian side of the family practically don't know what cards are, we just give out phone calls instead. That way it seems a bit more sincere than "Sorry we can't see you this holiday season. We really do care, just not enought to bother calling you"
