currently running nortons internet security 2007, runs out in 2days, do i have to un-install it before i put same for 2008 on or will i just install new disk? cheers K.

No - if you have bought 2008 then it will sort it all out automatically during installation, also check out www.grisoft.com for a decent and FREE AV (AVG) product, that actually is about a million times better than bloated old norton.
Uninstall norton and install AVG as Joules says, found a virus on dads laptop that Norton didn't, and save yourself about �40...
Take your computer and throw it out the window. This will have a slightly less detrimental effect than running Norton and is cheaper.

Alternatively, do as the others have suggested and install AVG
avg or avast, both are good & free, probably avg is slighty better because of its easy to use interface & uses least resources. Agree with others on the Norton I wouldnt put it on any of mine if they paid me, it hogs to much of your system ( cyber brakes).
