Can some please explain, why if I want to upgrade from Option 1 to Option 2 or 3 on BT Broadband, I have to wait 9 days (just like when I first got broad band) for them to set it up and get me the package sent out?

I mean, all im asking for is to go from 5gb usage per month to unlimited! Surely its just a case of making a note on their system that I no longer have a download limit and no longer need reminders on how much im downloading??

Or is the person I spoke to at BT wrong??? She did say that I receive the same modem etc when I first got my broadband, meaning I have a spare modem.

Anyone have any ideas??

Hi 'spaced' you are right , it is only an adjustment in the database on the download limit.....but nothing is quick in BT. it is so departmentalised and information has to be passed around, that it could well take days!!
Hi 'spaced' me again...do you only get reminders when you exceed the 5GB limit, or do they keep you informed about your usage ?.....I ask because I am on Option 1 and I never hear from them..!!

Hi Zinnie, Ive had option 1 now for about a year. Last week I got an email saying that I had exceeded my 5gb limit by 500mb. They said that this time they would take no action, but if I exceed the monthly limit on 2 consecutive months, I would be charged 30p per GB over, which is nothing really.

I never get usage updates, but I am thinking of upgrading to option 3.
