I would say boxing gloves! its about that age when you find that your hands come in useful :o)
hiya im not a parent in 14 yr old girl but hey. i think that you should give him money. beacuse then they can spend it on wot they like. or maybe a play station game or something like that. a dvd? wideo? cd? you can get cd's from tesco for 10 i buy them all the time there! if worst comes to worst buy him some vochers for a sports shop or somthing. hope this helps xx
Maybe a gift certificate to a music store, or a store that has computer gaming software and such?
I always send my two nephews (13 & 16) money for birthdays & Christmas, so they can buy whatever they wish. Alternatively, gift vouchers from WH Smith or Woolworth is a good idea, as they can then buy CD's, books or stationery, etc.
Give him 15 and give it to him as a 10 and a  5....that way he can tell Mum that u gave him 10 and he can stash the 5 away without haveing to split it up and put some into his savings account.....I used to hate that a xmas.... coming back from uncles house with a stash in my pocket my dad would ask how much uncle gave me and that i would have to save some of it........
Oh you devious little rascal bluedolphin! Good idea though!
Definitely money or vouchers.   Thirteen year old boys are really difficult to buy for.  Why waste money on something you are not sure about.  Kids love Money
Ask his Mum!!! Surely she will know what he wants/needs?

Thank for your help everyone.Looks like cash or vouchers is the answer.

Ask his mum what his current interest is - they change pretty often. My nephew's the same age & last year I bought him an enormous t-shirt for skate - boarding (apparently very cool but looked like a tent with a logo to me!)
