Hi i have been unable to concieve for 3 yrs i had lots of blood test some results have come back as abnormal one being a test for monocytes, does anyone know what this means or how this could effect my inability to concieve?

i am going to the docs but not for two weeks and im desperate to know!?!?!

monocytes are a type of white blood cell, hence are part of the body's defence mechanism. where your levels high or low?

not sure if they directly affect your ability to concieve, but high levels are generally indicative of infection or systemic illness, with low levels basically meaning you have depressed immunity or an impaired response to infectous agents.

i wouldn't worry about it, especially since your appointment isn't for 2 weeks - if there was any cause for concern regarding your immediate health, your doc wouldn't wait 2 weeks to see you.

thank you for your reply at least i know its not something related directly to infertility.
