Hi, Can anyone help with this quiz question? The question is:

What is the numerical value of the triangle?

HEXAGON...........SQUARE
--------------.....+.....------------.....=......14
.......3...........................4
.
.
HEXAGON......-.....SQUARE....=....TRIANGLE
.
.
TRIANGLE
---------------.....=....STAR
.......4.
.
Basically the equation is three lines, showing actual shapes rather than words.

Top line = Hexagon over 3, + Square over 4, = 14.
Middle line = Hexagon minus Square = Triangle
Bottom Line = Triangle over 4 = Star

On the bottom line....

Is there part of the equation missing?

A/3 + B/4 = 14
A - B = C
C/4 = D <<< is this line is missing something??

No, that's exactly how it appears, using actual shapes. I did wonder if the shapes were relevant, i.e. hexagon = 6, square = 4, star = 5, triangle = 3. but that doesn't seem to make sense either.
one solution there may be others and assuming each symbol is a whole number

Hexagon =36 Square = 8 Triangle = 28 Star = 7
36/3 + 8/4 = 14
36 - 8 = 28
28/4 = 7
